This Week. New SUPer & Suprise Waves

My buddy Tom. It's his first ocean trial on a stand up. He's using Butch's 11'6" C4 and did well. The wind was sideshore @ 10-12mph with 5sec. 2foot swells.

Wednesday AM. Beautiful morning with waist to chest high surf. No one out. Suckers!

Friday AM Report

Butch and I SUPed from 6a-730a. At first glance the waves looked bumpy and in the thigh to waist high range. Once we carried the boards to the waters edge the shorebreak was thigh to waist high! We paddle out and the first set was a chunky chest to head wave with a nice right hander on it. I really good session with some thick and fast rides. The tide was high and the waves were breaking out so far from shore that it made them appear small from shore. I didn't bother with the camera. My mistake!

Sunday Fun.

Fun knee to waist high surf with southwest winds and lots of SUP in the water. This is a few shots of myself from the TruckCam.

Saturday Video. Posting on Sunday

I had an hour session at the North end that was one of my best in a while. After a choppy low tide AM session I came back to sleep/sun on the beach at noon. Once I came on the beach I saw it was gooood for SUP. High tide with sideshore winds and only a few surfers out. I surfed for an hour or so and B-Dog came out. We surfed for 30 minutes and I came in and shot some video.

Morning Madness: "Any Given Sunday"

Brad on the back wave and I on the front. On "Any Given Sunday" you could see this on the north end of CB.

Todd, appreciating my work. Thanks.

Todd doin' his thang at the pilings.

Friday TruckCam Video: If You Like "GODSMACK" Pump Up the Vol!

The camera was angled well, the zoom sucked. I get it. These clips are from a one hour video. I extracted some of the waves that I surfed out of. If you you ("beer") start to think about the amount of waves a SUP catches compared to a regular board then why would you surf anything else. Surfers tend to think that a SUP catching lots of waves takes away from their wave count (like snaking). SUP catches more waves that a surfer passes up and can't catch is the reality. 2 cents, aint a nicle. ("beer")

Peace Out.

Dawn Patrol @ Northend: 6a - 10a

Me on TruckCam shot.

Z

Z, again!

The REAL Z finally arrives.
Fun surf in the waist high range with offshore winds this AM. I had over 20 waves in an hour of video on the TruckCam. I didn't have the cameria zoomed in enough for any great footage. Z came about 8:30 and the waves died down a little and then picked up again the final 30-40minutes before I left. He caught some good waves after I got out.

Shortboard Today at North End

Unidentified longboarder.

Me go right.

Me go left.

Me go left again.

The waves came up on the pilings with the tide. I didn't want to battle the sideshore wind on the paddle board, so I took the short out to get wet. Like I said the waves got good for the SUP, but two longboards came and sat there right when it started getting better. I was a good SUPer stayed out eventhough I stared at it for 10 minutes once I got back to the truck.
